It's always quite surprising how big these amazing vehicles are when you get up close! Experienced instructors and fire fighters will teach you how to drive and how to work the hoses to put out the fires. We use the same scenario as used for training real fire fighters.
You will manoeuvre either a 13 ton Dennis RS or Scania 82m Fire appliance around a specially laid out course including top gear main roads, roundabouts, T- junctions, slaloms and garages. To make things as realistic as possible the vehicle will be carrying a full equipment load and carrying 2 tonnes of water, plenty to go at with the hose! You will also put out a fire in either a building or a vehicle! Great fun and half a days experience.
